Founded in 2018, the Asia Centre Media Hub extends the reach of civil society organisations (CSOs) in the region by creating digital content of the work done by the Centre and its partners and sharing it over media and social media.
Due to the lack of reporting from mainstream media and competition on other platforms, Asia Centre’s Media Hub plays a vital role in providing CSOs an opportunity to extend their voice and showcase their work.
The digital content produced by the Media Hub includes podcasts, reels, infographics, and commentaries that serves as key tools in assisting Asia Centre’s messaging on civil society issues.
Here campaigns are important. For instance, the Media Hub is able to generate digital content and channel it towards promoting a specific civil society issue over a period of time. In this way, we are able to raise awareness of the issue and reinforce its importance.

Unlike the other Asia Centre offices, the Media Hub has a dedicated Studio on the 3rd floor of its building, that is equipped with camera, microphone, tripods, teleprompter and lights making it a one-stop media production unit.

The Asia Centre Media Hub also has a Gallery on the ground floor where visitors will be able to glimpse into the history activities of the Centre from 2015. The Gallery also doubles up as an events space.

Located in the Iskandar Puteri region of Johor Bahru in Malaysia, the Asia Centre Media Hub also acts as the base of operations for the Centre’s programming across the Malay-speaking region of Nusantara covering Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia and Timor-Leste.

The Asia Centre Media Hub is one of the four offices that forms the entity of Asia Centre. Asia Centre has its Research Hub and AI Hub in Bangkok, Thailand and its Training Hub Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
Asia Centre is a civil society research institute that was founded in Bangkok, Thailand in 2015 and was granted the UN ECOSOC Special Consultative Status in 2021.
The Centre does evidence-based research and advocates for civil society issues in the Asia Pacific region. It also serves as a knowledge partner in providing capacity-building training for end beneficiaries.
